Place of study: SPbPU Scientific School "World Economy".

Direction of the Program: analysis and forecasting of world economic processes, innovative and technological achievements of the countries of the world in industries, taking into account the substantive, economic and institutional aspects of the development of the world economy.

Basic requirements for applicants: to have basic knowledge in the field of the world economy, methods of analysis and forecasting.

Brief curriculum (specialty disciplines): World economy; Development of the world economy; Mathematical models and methods in scientific research of problems of the world economy; World economy: innovative and technological development of the countries of the world; Economic theories of Nobel laureates; Global economic system: model approach to the analysis and forecasting of global processes; Modern problems and trends in the development of the world economy; Processes in the global economic system: a model approach to analysis and forecasting.

Planned results of the study of the program:

Postgraduate students who have studied the disciplines of the program must be competent in the following areas: know the methods of analysis and forecasting of processes and objects of the world economy; have an idea about the specifics of the current stage of globalization of the world economy and the possible prospects for its development; know the theory of development of the world economy and international economic relations.

The concept of postgraduate training is based on the following principles:

- the learning process is organized on the principles of individual learning;

- the topics of PhD dissertations correspond to the priority areas of development of science, engineering and technology;

- participation of graduate students in real projects, scientific and academic mobility of graduate students related to the analysis and forecasting of innovative and technological achievements of the countries of the world is welcomed and encouraged.
