2.5.6. Mechanical engineering technology
The program is aimed at the formation of competencies in the field of mechanical engineering technology, including knowledge, skills, skills and socio-personal qualities that ensure the success of scientific and pedagogical activities.
After mastering the postgraduate program in this area, graduates will be ready to carry out:
- research activities in the field of designing technological processes, information and measuring equipment and technological equipment, automatic and automated control systems for machine-building industries and technological processes, systems of design and technological preparation for the production of machine parts, tools and technological equipment, information space for enterprise planning and management, innovation programs in the conditions of modern machine-building production.
- teaching activities on educational programs of higher education in the field of mechanical engineering.
Key Features:
The program is implemented on the basis of a combination of theoretical and practical approach to teaching graduate students as follows. in order for the acquired knowledge, skills and abilities to enable graduates to carry out research activities in the field of design and operation of machines, drives, information and measuring equipment and technological equipment, systems of design and technological preparation of production, tool technology, new types of mechanical and physico-technical processing of materials, mathematical modeling of technological processes and methods of manufacturing parts and assembly of mechanical engineering products, and also to present the results of scientific research and ensure their implementation both in production and in the educational process.
The curriculum contains specialized and auxiliary disciplines; preparation for the candidate's minimum exams in English and the history of science and technology is provided.
Profile disciplines in the curriculum:
• Metrological support of machine-building production
• Ensuring the quality of technological processes
• Fixtures and technological equipment
• Mechanical engineering technology
• Mechanical engineering technology (add.chapters)
• Design of control programs for CNC machines
Achievements of the Higher School of Transport in this field:
• Development of methods and means for accelerated determination of cutting modes of promising titanium alloys for the manufacture of engine parts
• Development of technology for machining parts made of hard-to-process materials for aircraft engine building based on the definition of rational cutting modes and the choice of an effective tool.
• Selection of processing parameters, selection of cutting tools and pre-machining operations of semi-finished products from intermetallic titanium alloys
• Development of a comparator.
Requirements for applicants: in addition to the general requirements for applicants to graduate school – knowledge of the Russian language to the extent sufficient to work with Russian-language literary sources in the specialty.
