The program aligns with the priority direction of modernizing Russia’s economy and its innovative development: strategic information technologies. Training under the program runs parallel to research conducted using the university’s equipment. The educational process combines traditional teaching methods with promising new technologies, innovative methodologies, and developments in additive manufacturing. The program’s implementation focuses primarily on current and future needs of mechanical engineering enterprises. The program incorporates the CDIO (Conceive — Design — Implement — Operate) concept, which centers on training students in engineering activities according to the «Plan — Design — Produce — Apply» model. Students gain hands-on experience in the laboratories of Peter the Great St. Petersburg Polytechnic University (SPbPU).
